Team Batista 2 - General Rouge no Gaisen [Episode 6]

Rating:★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Drama
Title: Team Batista 2: General Rouge no Gaisen / ジェネラル・ルージュの凱旋
Year: 2010
Channel: Fuji TV

Amuse Cast: Sakurada Dori as Yamazaki Kento (guest star in episode 6)

I think Dori's acting was improved significantly. Seriously speaking.
Being casted as a Kamen Rider is surely improving his acting skill.

Yamazaki Kento (Sakurada Dori) is a 16-years-old boy in a wheelchair, living only with his mother (Yamazaki Noriko played by Oji Megumi).
His mother fell from stairway in their home and Kento rushed to contact a certain doctor he called Hayami Sensei (Nishijima Hidetoshi).

He and his mother brought to the hospital under suspicious eyes of some young doctors, thinking that his mother was Hayami Sensei's mistress, and Kento was his illegitimate son.

Finally met Hayami Koichi Sensei, it was revealed that Hayami Sensei saved Kento's life when Kento was trapped under collapsing materials at the construction site about 5 years ago. Kento survived, thanks to Hayami, but he bounded to be in wheelchair eversince.

Kento tried to make Hayami remember, but Hayami said he forgot all the patients he had saved and dismissed him cold-heartedly.

Being roughly rejected, Kento snapped and tried to stab Hayami with a scissors but failed miserably because Taguchi Kouhei (Atsushi Ito) and other med staff grabbed him and threw away the scissors.

Kento blamed Hayami for saving him and letting him alive. And it's all Hayami's fault that he was in wheelchair and the stress of taking care of him made his mother collapsed.

Kento angrily shouted at Hayami for not letting him to die on the operation table. Upon hearing Kento's hysterical rantings, a female doctor Izumi Haruka (Katou Ai) slapped Kento's face and said doctors sacrified their private lives to save people, so she would not forgive people whose life had been saved say something like that.

A brief moment later Kento was having a seizure, his entire body convulsed
. Again Hayami saved him and it turned out that Hayami indeed remembered the boy and his mother.
Hayami coincidentally mentioned about if Kento had a proper treatment at the other hospital he was transfered after being treated in this hospital, Kento would probably be out there playing basketball. Kouhei realized Hayami was lying when he said he didn't remember Kento, and questioned Hayami why he behaved like that but he refused to give Kouhei a satisfying answer.

Hayami silently observed Kento from afar and found out Kento was having trouble writing, talking, and remembering things. The next day when Kento arrived at the hospital to visit his mother, Hayami took him to a room and gave him a drawing test. Kento couldn't draw anything.

Hayami realized Kento was suffering something called 'pressure hydrocephalus' which making his cerebral ventricles in his brain expanded and thus resulting a memory defect and a walking disorder. It was undetected because Kento had hemiphlegia (paralysis) since his accident five years ago.
The doctors asked Kento to have a test to check it, but Kento declined. Kento said he hated people who gave him high hopes to recover but they let him down eventually. He fed up with the word "hopes" and "possibilities".

Kouhei tried to reason with Kento, saying that Hayami Sensei did remember him and Hayami was the one who found out about Kento's desease, that Hayami was thinking all night about the best way to treat Kento. Kouhei also said that instead of thinking his mother pushed herself too hard because of him, try to think that because he existed his mother could push herself. The fact Kento was alive, gave his mother hope.

While still in doubt, Kento's mom was finally woken up. Kento heard his mom said to the med staff, "My son is my pride." *seriously i'm bursted to tears here. I luv you mom!*
Kento finally agreed to take the test. A few days later, Kento's condition was getting better. Too bad Kento was still in wheelchair though, but he no longer had memory defect.

I really wanted to see the ending which that Kento can walk normally again but that would be a lot to ask and the ending would be too perfect, wouldn't it? ^^;;;

Anyway Dori, that SMILE. Oyh. I'm melting here.
*major flails*

Ruri no Shima (episode 4)

Rating:★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Drama

AMUSE Casts: Sakurada Dori as Tsuchiya Teppei (guest star in episode 4)

Other Casts: Narumi Riko as Fujisawa Ruri (the leading role), Takenouchi Yutaka, Ogata Ken, Baisho Mitsuko, Konishi Manami, etc,

Truthfully, I only watched the 4th episode XD

Dori played the role as a little snob kid named Tsuchiya Teppei. Being so arrogant as a city kid, he looked down at people at the island, including Fujisawa Ruri (Narumi Riko).

Dori's act in this episode was still far from good. Well he's still 14 years old back in 2005.
With a monotone voice and expressionless face. Seriously. LOL.
Look how snotty his face was XD
Cute nonetheless *pedoliciously flails at little Dori*

Tsuchiya did everything to irritate people around him, especially Ruri.
He thought island people live on rain water, he rudely called an old lady a "dead creature", said Ruri's dress is ugly. After dinner he deliberately threw curry on Ruri's new white clothes, and while Ruri tried to wash away the stains, he came back with muddy hands and rubbed them to Ruri's already dirtied dress.
This time, Ruri lost her temper and wanted to slap him. But before she did that, the female teacher who saw everything slapped Tsuchiya on his left cheek and said, "Being mean is completely different from being mischievous."

But Tsuchiya did not stop there. He plotted a revenge against the teacher.
At night he and his friend planned to run away so when people noticed they were missing, the teacher will be the one to blame.
He even threatened to punch a little girl who accidentally found out about their plan (aww.. Dori you so mean).

But the plan didn't go smoothly, Tsuchiya fell over the cliff but his friend managed to run back to the village. Ruri came to help Tsuchiya but ended up falling too. Their fate now hanging on the loose roots they were holding with their might.

Their lives were in danger, Tsuchiya took the opportunity to apologize and tell the truth, that he himself born in this island. The island was not so convenient to his family so they moved off from this island and left Tsuchiya's grandpa alone.
His grandpa finally died several years later, with none of his family care to come to his funeral. So when Tsuchiya's school held a tour back to his home island, Tsuchiya got frustrated and unleashed it to Ruri and people on the island. He told Ruri, "If this island had not been so inconvenient, we all could have lived here. My grandfather had not had to die alone. That's why I don't like this island." He paused. "I mean... I didn't like it. So... I'm sorry."

Not for long, the village people came and saved them.
Before Tsuchiya left the village, he gave his lucky charm to Ruri, a Shiisa keychain. (Shiisa = a lion-shaped roof ornament of Okinawa) ^^

Random note:
In Ruri no Shima Special (2007), another AMUSE member, Ryunosuke Kamiki, was casted as Miyahara Shion, a 2nd leading role.
