TECMO official review:
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly, the sequel to the highly popular survival horror titled Fatal Frame.
This time the terrifying journey takes you to a whole new creepy setting, an abandoned village, where you play the role of Amakura Mio, a young girl who is gifted with a strong sixth sense and her twin sister Mayu, who notices a crimson butterfly faintly glowing in the sky.
Mayu, feeling mysteriously compelled to follow the butterfly, chases it into the dark forest. Mio unwillingly follows her sister into the forest's depth. After chasing the crimson butterfly to a clearing in the forest, the two sisters stumble upon a deserted village. Unknown to either sister is that the lost village will become the spooky setting for yet another horrifying tale guaranteed keep you up at night.

My review! ^^
This game is the latest one i played among the Fatal Frame Trilogy.
NOW i know where i saw the scene of sadako-wannabe-look-alike-ghost comin' out from the kimono box and crawlin' towards you from behind. It's in THIS game, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly (also known as Zero: Akai Chou).
Survival horror games like these do not come along often, and I'm definitely satisfied with the quality of this game. Be warned though, do not play this game at night, unless you have someone watching you play. But even so, this game will make you feel as though something else is watching you. Brrr.
Like the original Fatal Frame, this game features the Camera Obscura, in which you steal your foe's soul energy by zapping them with the camera, and dark, creepy settings as well as hot Japanese girls. What more could a survival horror fan ask for? Still, this game should impress anyone in an instant.
It's the story about the twins: Amakura Mio and Amakura Mayu, trapped in an abandoned village.
Big thanks to Mayu for this. I still can't figure it out why the heck she always compelled to wonder alone and leave Mio greets her teeth off in irritation everytime she finds out her twin's gone again. They trapped in the haunted out-of-no-where village for God's sake and Mayu still managed to run away from Mio and gets into the deeper trouble.
Not long before they find out the abandoned village is actually the famous Lost Village, which legendary told that its people had vanished during performing Strangling Ritual involving the sacrifice of the twin sisters/brothers souls.
One sister/brother kills another in order to save the village from the Hellish Abyss. Sounds fun.

Well, the graphics improved, Mio and Mayu are pretty, well-crafted sceneries gives off a creepy feeling and atmosphere.. And the spirits have real expressions on their hideous face. Very cool indeed.
Interesting plot, but still predictable. Twins kill angry ghosts, fight the boss and get out of the place. But why the girls can't run faster? They really need some running lessons. You have legs! Use them to run like a freakin' rabbit!!
Other than that, there's only one word to describe this game: C - R - E - E - P - Y.
You will be able to hear ghosts whispering and moanings. For your information, hearing the blind ghost (in Fatal Frame, the first of the trilogy) whispers something about her eyes over and over, is enough to make me sleep with my light on for three nights straight.

Highly recommended game for anyone who claims to have the nerve of steel ^^
Great job, Tecmo!
